Christmas Eve Excitement!

The boys are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Nanny to make cookies for Santa…

“Can we have some hot chocolate mommy?”

“Mommy, its too hot, can you put some ice in it?”

Later we will have a quiet peaceful Christmas Eve service at church…One of the things I look forward to most at Christmas time!

Then we will have dinner and exchange gifts with Phil’s family.

The boys will change into their Christmas pajamas they have been so patiently waiting to wear since they arrived 2 weeks ago and then head home.   Hopefully, the ride home will calm them for bed later.

After we arrive home for the evening, get the younger 2 to bed and read Jotham’s Journey with Thomas…we are anxiously awaiting the ending!

After Thomas is in bed, I will prepare tomorrow’s breakfast so that it is ready for the oven in the morning.

Next, its time to scurry about and be as quiet as possible as to not wake the boys…and hope to get a few hours rest before morning comes and it does come early!

  1. Merry Christmas! What excitement! I love your day. Neat about baking the cookies- fun! Love it all. The staying busy helps the day go a bit faster.

We do things much the same except we don't open any gifts today. It's all tomorrow and Sunday 🙂 And we all CANNOT wait to read Bartholomew tonight. I remember the ending of Jotham. Oh my!!!!

Merry Christmas to you and yours as well! Looking forward to seeing you all tonight at church!

Yes, busy is always better! The boys are bursting with excitement, but believe it or not I got Tracy to lay down for a nap, so tonight shouldn't be too bad at Mamaw's house! 🙂
